phenolic risers?
«
on:

Im thinking about building a riser for some ilf limbs. I have heard that phenolic is a strong material, and also heavy. I was wondering how it would work for a riser? Is it stiffer than like actionwood or dymondwood? I found some canvas phenolic for $60 for a 24x4x1.5" piece, but the linen phenolic is alot more expensive. If anyone has any info on phenolic or any pics of phenolic riser bows, Id appreciate it. thanks

Here is the all phenolic riser i had custom made by Groves a few years ago. It shoots right up there with my metal handle bows...heavy, steady in the hand, no hand shock, and not cold in the winter.

Those Groves have a very classy design.
Sad but true that know one took over the business and continue building those bows.
