I've heard that Tom Parsons makes a nice Hill style longbow which he calls the Mattawoman. What is the base price for the longbow he makes? Anyone ever shot a Mattawoman? I'd like to hear what you think. I may have to check it out since he's here in Maryland.

If you type in Kimsha archery in your search engine, it will take you to his home page

TP makes a Mattawoman and a Mattawoman II.  The II has more reflex deflex than the regular Mattawoman and is faster pound for pound.  I have 1 Mattawoman and 3 Mattawoman II's and expect to get another II today or tomorrow.  His workmanship is superb.  His bows are truly custom made.  If you order one he will figure out the number of lams and tapers and all factors to make it fit you.  Each and every bow is made different.  He does not just put the same number of lams in every bow and just grind it down to your specs.  Each bow is hand made.  He has bows in stock.  I would suggest you go by the shop and shoot some.  TP is as fine a gentleman as you will meet in this industry.

Forgot.  His base longbow prices start about 600-650.  That can go up depending on wood choices lams, etc. His bows can go up to 900 -1000.

Tom Parsons knows more about bow design and construction than just about any bowyer I have ever met. He is the Leonardo de Vince of bowyers.

He loves to talk, I might mention.
