Different Broadheads for different game?

Do you guys use different heads dependant on game hunted? I've been shooting some new left bevel No Mercys and think they will be great for deer but wonder if a Magnus1 160g will be better for bear and turkey? I'm torn because a nice bear is 300 lbs+ and is bigger and has heavier bone structure than a big buck 200 lbs+ so logic and Ashby studies would tell me to use the single bevel for both. I'm  not sure what to think about turkys. P.S my Moose / Bear bow is 56 @ 26 with a 730g weight forward arrow,,Thanks for your input,,Frank

There's a lot to be said for using different broadheads for different game. A lot of people do that, and there's nothing wrong with it at all.

However, I like to gear up for the biggest thing I'm going to hunt and use that head for everything else. I guess I figure if it'll kill a moose, it should work on whitetails too.

I agree with Jason.  While you certainly CAN change around,  there is no need to, and in fact, it might be a headache as maybe the change will affect the dynamics of your shooting.

I personally won't worry so much about how many bevels my broadheads have.  I typically have no problem with penetration on the game I hunt using what I use.  

Although Dr Ashby's studies are right-on and very informative, don't forget that two bevel heads have been taking game very well for a long long time and do not all of a sudden pale in the face of anything else.

Keep it reasonable, keep it sharp, and keep it in the RIGHT kill zone and you shouldn't have problems at all.

My thoughts as well. That was the reason we designed the Woodsman head. Something effective to use for rabbits and moose.
Don't put so much thought into it that it becomes frustrating. If you are shooting completely thru deer, you will be good on anything else.

I second what Jason said. I try to use a " one set up for everything" deal. I dont want to worry about changing all the time. My recurve set up will be good enough for anything in North America, my longbow set up...... well we will have to see when it finally arrives. Good luck with your decision.

I like the "worst case scenario" idea on BHs. Like everyone else has said here. If I can build an arrow BH combo that shoots through moose then I am good for these little eastern NC whitetails.

I think your set-up has enough horse power for that Magnus, especially with that heavy shaft.  I would use the Magnus.
