Good Quiver
« on: February 17, 2007, 07:30:00 PM »
I'm looking for a nice quiver. I've always used a quiver that came off a compound and just carried it. Problem is, it doesnt have very much clearing for my flething and it jacks my feathers all up. Anyone know a nice quiver that has good clearance for the fletching. Hard to tell from pics on the internet. Justin

If you are talking about a bow quiver there are quite a few out there that are great.  Selway, Thunderhorn, Great Northern, Eagle Flight Archery.  They are all different and it turns into more of a personal thing.  I have a Great Northern strap on and I don't have any trouble with 5 1/2" feathers hitting one another.  For a back quiver I like a Catquiver.  It protects my fletchings from the elements but it also has its downsides.  Good luck in your search.
Always keep the wind in your face, and an arrow nocked.

hey Justin and Sammy!   Go to some trad events and see what everyone is carrying. That way you get a hands on before you buy something you might not really like. Me personally, I prefer the Thunderhorn strap-ons for hunting and I use a side quiver for 3-D and shooting around the house. Lot's of different styles to choose from and everyone likes something different.

Sammy, try the Trad Events forum. This topic just happened to be at the top.  Texas trad shoot in TG\\'s Trad Events forum

Starting a thread asking about trad shoots in Texas should bring a slew of responses, as there are a lot of us in that state!
