During the span of years that my hunting was the best ever......

I had twice as many deer sightings during the weeks of the moon's first and last quarter as I did during the weeks of the new and full moon, combined.

Howdy Warren, it's always good to read your posts.

I mainly hunt whenever I get time but on a full moon I try to be hunting from 9am to 3pm or later and have seen the most deer movement around noon.

Like Warren's post I see more deer during the first or last quarter and hunt mornings and evenings then.

If a major storm front is coming in I hunt hard before it gets here because the critters are going to be stocking up on feed so they can lay up through the storm.

During the rut, hunt any time no matter what phase the moon is in.

Part of the fun of huntin' is talking smart and swappin' opinions.  Having said that that is all these "moonphase and deer movements" are is opinions.  There is no scientifi evidence to support moon phase and movement.  Other factors have been proven like weather, pressure changes, but moon phase nadda.  Sorry.

BTW:  The stuff you hear regarding human craziness and a full moon is also opinion.  No scientific info to support that either.
