Which one?
« on: June 04, 2008, 09:36:00 PM »
Would like to hear from some of you recurve shooters. I'm going to get a Quinn. I been to their web site and they all look good to me. Which do you prefer? The Stallion or the Stallion classic? Or, is their another model you like better? I will be shooting some traditional shoots with it as well as hunting with it? Does one or the other seem smoother or have less stack? Any info you could pass would be appreciated. Any pictures you guys could post showing your Quinns would also be appreciated. Gapmaster

The would look on the classifieds on here, you'll find a lot of decent bows their better at pretty decent prices, and a lot of them are in a higher-quality category.

I picked up some top-notch bows at reasonable prices there.

The difference between the two is the Classic has pretty veneers under clear glass while the Stallion has black or brown glass. Otherwise they are the same bow.

IMHO the Quinn is a great choice.Just give them a call and let them reccomend a bow length to match your draw and there will be no problems.

You will be happy with either one. Like Vermonster said, the only difference is the veneers on the classic. I bought a used oned in black and then put a custom camo job on it(home-made at least). I can post some pics tonight. I draw right at 30" and the 60" bow is very smooth with no noticeable finger pinch. My Stallion is my least expensive bow($200) but is probably my favorite to shoot.

They are cut well past center and can be easily tuned to shoot a wide variety of arrows. I have never shot mine through a chrono, but I think they would surprise folks with their speed. Sorry to ramble, but as you can tell, I really like these bows.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

Nice PSEMAN. I would love to see some pictures. I was thinking I could kinda sweeten the bow up if I ordered the black riser and black limbs, then I could try some of those limbsations on the limbs and dress it up a bit. I was looking at the pictures on their web site and the brown color in their posted pictures doesn't really look good to me. It could just be bad photos, I'm not sure. I guess I'm really not sure what color to get. I was hoping to see several pictures of what others have done to theirs to help me decide. Thanks for the help. Gapmaster   :)

PM JSimon.  He owns a quinn and loves it and can give you some great advice.
Silence over speed.  Heavier arrows never hurt.

Quinn bows are great bows. I don't think you can get much of a better bow for the money.
