Reno Area
« on: June 07, 2008, 07:28:00 PM »
Looks like I'm going to be in Reno, NV for the Xtreme Bulls rodeo from the 17th to the 20th of this month. Looks like I'm going to have quite a bit of free time while I'm there.  Is there any trad shops in the Reno area?  Maybe any opportunities to do some stump shooting, jackrabbit shooting or anything like that in the area?

Any information is appreciated!

Only one real archery shop left in Reno-House of Arrows in Sparks on Rock Blvd.  Not far from rodeo grounds.
We are almost always around there when we are not at work.  we have a great spot up in Dog Valley, just North of town to stump in.
There is a Cabelas and a sportsman warehouse.

If you have transportation venture down to Carson City and visit my Friend Tim Meigs, he's an icon in out sport and a genuinely great guy. He usually does not get into the shop until early afternoon. give him a call first.

Bob and Roadkill..

Thanks for the info.  I'll have transportation. Usually we rent a 4wd of some kind whenever I know I'm gonna have free time.

What is the name of Tim's shop down in Carson?

Thanks,  Cam

Its just Tim Meigs Archery, he's east of Carson several miles on Hwy 50. The best thing to do is call him for directions.

Bob/Cam, easy to find Tim.. Drive east on Hwy 50.  On the left is the Moonlight Bunny Ranch and just past that you take a right on Kit Kat Drive.  Tim is half way down on the left.  Do call in advance.  Bring a camera and get a photo of yourself with an archery legend!

Cat house navigation is unique to Nevada!
