Riser Timber Dimensions?
« on: June 14, 2008, 10:31:00 AM »
Hi all,

Im going to have a go at building a 3pc T/D Longbow, and am starting to put together the necessary equipment.

One question though, what dimensions should I get the riser lumber in? Ive had a look on some timber dealers sites mentioned on this forum but the largest lumber dimension I can find is about 3"x3"x18"...is this enough to work with?

Any internet dealers or suppliers you can reccomend?

Thanks for the info!

binghams or tradmaterials.com have 22 and 24 inch stuff no need to go wider than 2 inches.I think they both will give you custom sizes if you want. Go with maple and colored glass on that first one to save some money IMO.
