62 to 64" Recurve

Can anyone suggest a recurve for a long draw length 30.5". I have several 60" curves that all seem to stack badly once I get past 29" or so. I'm not looking to break the bank so I will be looking for something under $300 between about 50 to 60lbs at 30.5". This will be a future puchase just want to see whats out there to be ready when I do get the money saved up. Thanks

there are some longer Brackenbury, and Assenheimer bows out there that arent too expensive, i have a long draw myself and own 2 64" recurves.  They are both Black Widows though.

I have a 64" ChekMate Hunter II.  Does well for my long draw (32"+).  Bow is labeled 46# @ 28".  Ends up around 57# @ 32".  They show up every now and then in the classifieds.  They also aren't too costly if new.  Touch base with Chad (LBR) at Recurves.com.  He is a sponsor here, and represents ChekMate.  Good guy all around and will talk you through your options.  He helped me a whole bunch.

Length is one factor in stacking, but so is bow design. Some bowyers are able to create shorter, handier bows with little to no stack. Try as many as you can before you write off the 60" bows. Check with bowyers for suggestions as well. I can't really give you suggestions for a specific bow because I only draw 28" anyway, but I am sure there are some out there. My Kota doesn't stack, at least to my son's 29" draw.

Try used if you are on a budget. The only new bow I have is my Kanati (if you were thinking longbow, I'd recommend it highly, though it is going to bust your $300 budget). The others in my signature and that I have owned were all used. You can usually buy used and get your money back if you decide the bow isn't right for you.

My Bob Lee Signature Recurve is 64" and works very well with my 31,5" draw. A 49lb @28" comes out as 60lb @ 31,5".

Very smooth draw.

I draw over 30" and my 60" Quinn Stallion doesn't seem to stack at all. They are also offered in 62" and 64" for under $300 new. Aluminum riser though, but a nice radiused shelf for shooting off the shelf.

My 64" Widow PMA II is 49 @ 32 and spare set of limbs are 60 @ 32.  It draws smoothly with no stacking.  A world of difference from the old Herter's 60" recurve I was shooting before.

i second the quinn stallion after having shot one recently.  This is probably the best bow you can get for under $400.  Highly underrated and/or never mentioned.  Unfortunately they are in RH only.  Luckily I can shoot both ways.  Prefer left though

Thanks for all of the responses guys, sound like I need to get out there and try a few more, the quinn sound pretty good may need to track one down to try out.
