Mountain Muffler strings
« on: June 15, 2008, 02:25:00 PM »
OK, Where do I find / get a Mountain Muffler string for my Dalla? I have never heard of them, but just saw mention of them in the "DAS- Dalla" topic post. What are they exactly, how are they differnt and why are they more quiet than other strings?
My Dalla is too noisy and I need to work on getting it less so. I'm using the stock silenced string with Musk Ox silencers and bow hush added, but not satisfied yet. Also limb savers dont do a thing for my bow.
BTW, I do love my Dalla, and hope that it will get some pics on here soon.

Thanks
Tom

I don't think Robert is making any at this time. When he gets behind he takes them off his websight untill he catches up.You might try wrapping your string with bow hush or other wool yarn where it contacts the limbs. That usually works very well to get rid of some of the slap.jmo
....Quality deer management means shooting them before they get tough....

I EMailed Robert yesterday about a MM string for my Morrison. He's not taking orders at the moment, unfortunately. I would highly recomend  Bow Hush. Does exactly the same thing, only difference being that you can install them on any recurve string.

I've used (and currently use) bow hush and hush puppies and they're great. BUT, a MM was on the only recurve I've had that I was able to get as quiet as my longbows. Take it for what it's worth - it might be worth the wait.
Is it September yet?!
