I finally had a chance to watch Water Buffalo Point Blank last night, and would like to thank Denny Sturgis and Dale Karch for not only making a great video, but for doing such a great job on the tribute to Bill Baker.
Closing the tribute with the text Bill wrote at the end of one of his Basalt Warrior videos was an absolute touch of class, and it really showed Bill’s sense of humor (I think I was on one or two of those Bataan Death Marches in the Basalt myself!).
Last, but not least, knowing that the island is now a fishing destination only, it was great to see the Honey Hole one last time. Man there were some monster bulls in THAT part of the island! I have a photo of one bull that was covered in dried gray mud. He looks more like a rhino than a buffalo.
Seeing the Honey Hole and the beaches and all the other great places on the island brought back some great memories, and made me want to plan a return to Australia in the worst way. This time for monster boar!
Dale and Denny-------great job, and thanks!
