I have been shooting one for the last 8 years and I love mine. My bow is not a fast flight model and it is very quiet but I shoot a heavy arrow and I am sure that helps.
I have never shot it through a chronograph so can't help with the speed but can tell you I have never had a problem putting arrows though a deer.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about it and would not hesitate to reccomend it to anyone.

Very nice bows.  I've had 2 of them, both FF models.  Still have 1.  Very smooth draw, especially if you draw out towards 30 inches or so.  Built like a tank.  Fit and finish to suit a hunting bow.  Speed is right there with anything built by any other big name bowyer.  Fairly quiet as well.  Not as quiet as an Assenheimer, which I consider to be the quietest recurve ou there.  And Keith Chastain is a great guy to deal with.  He will build you a fantastic bow.

The first custom bow I ever had made was a T/D Wapiti. That was 18 years ago and many bows later, its still my go to bow. I've never shot a smoother bow and I've since ordered a heavier set of limbs. Kieth is a great guy,and Ive had not one problem with the bow in all these years.

Keith is great to deal with & his bows posess outstanding performance. He's been making bows for near on 50 years now. Smooth to draw, accurate & quiet. These bows are designed for hunting, the fit is prefect, but the finish (sanding & grinding marks) isn't quite as refined as on other bows.

If you're looking for an outstanding hunting bow, a Wapiti is an outstanding choice. It performs as well, or better than my other bows which include a Border Black Douglas, Brackenbury, Caribow, Rose Oak (2), & soon a Silvertip. My Wapiti loves heavy arrows & flings 'em out with authority, a hard hitting bow for sure.

When you compare prices, the Wapiti definitely has the edge there, other than a Rose Oak "TomCat".

I have 2. One 50# and another for elk at 60#. Super smooth shooting, quiet, and rugged. Keith's customer service is second to none. I had a limb split while stringing it with his supplied stringer and neither of us really could explain what happened. He replaced the limbs free of charge no questions asked. I have chronographed my 50# shooting a 450 grain grahite arrow at 195. As stated earlier, mine also loves arrows around 540grains and heavier. You cna't go wrong with a Wapiti!!

I've got 5 of them. four recurve and one longbow. like everyone says, Keith is great to deal with, a great warranty, and really smooth drawing bows. I'd love another but I think I've got it covered!

I shot one that was for sale at a local sporting goods store. It shot really good and was extremely quiet with very little handshock. If I wasnt close to leaving on a 3 state turkey trip I would have bought it then and when I got back home someone had bought it.
