first pair of static limbs, problems, questions?
« on: June 25, 2008, 11:20:00 AM »
hey guys, i have been experimenting with making a set of static tipped limbs.  Got both limbs out of the oven and started to give them shape.  I noticed that the glue lines thicken right at the bend before the static tips.  Seem like they took, they just aren't as pretty as the rest of the glue lines in the glass and lamination.  I'll try and get some pics. I am wondering if the hose doesn't provide enough pressure at such a severe limb angle?  I don't want to spend more time on these limbs if they are unsafe to shoot.  Anyone out there have any experience with this?  Last thing I need is to have a bow explode on me. =)

maybe someone who has made static tipped limbs can help us newbies out here.  =)  I am going to order some more glass and lams, since i am intent on making this work.
