who all hunts with a self bow? It would also be cool to see some selfbow bow pics and kill pics.

Jerry there is a nice picture of Keith Deter on page 89 of the Joan Leanoard Memorial Bunny Hunt thread with a rabbit he killed yesterday with a nice selfbow he made, he does really nice work.

Here's a squirrel I killed this fall with a 58" osage selfbow, 51@29".

Here are a few from the last couple of years:

Actually, I never bothered to take pictures until the last two years.  I have a couple more somewhere and will try to find them
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I have killed more deer with a selfbow than with anyother kind of bow and have been bowhunting for 30 years.

Here is the best so far.

Here is my first selfbow kill in 96, hickory bow that looked like a boat paddle. I have refined my design since.

I have only taken one shot at game with a selfbow. Went back to my recurve and longbow after taking this caribou in Quebec a few years ago... I put it down while I could still say I never missed with one. That may change some day though.

Check out my website, and look on the "photo album" link, and you'll see several of my selfbow kills over the past decade or more.   I have many others but have'nt put them up yet.

Well the only reason I don't have a picture to go here is I am too dumb to build a selfbow good enough to hunt with.  :)  Maybe one day
