Looking for a Kid's bow
« on: July 04, 2008, 09:32:00 PM »
I am new here.  I have a six year old that wants to shoot an "Indian bow".  He currently shoots a compound (like his dad).  I do not really know anything about traditional archery but would like to get him a nice stick bow that he can learn with.  Where can I go to find a bowyer or retailer that can supply a functional bow for a six year old.  If there is a program that exists where he can upgrade as he grows, great.  I do not want a toy store bow.  Any advice or help would be appreciated.  IF this post belongs someplace else in the forum, I can move it.

Give Mike at Maddog Archery a call.  He is a great guy to deal with, makes great bows and is a sponsor here.

Here is a picture of one he made my daughter, Brier.
