Looking for some input on unit 45 around homestake lake. Will be elk hunting either the first or last part of archery season will be cow hunting. I know it's steep crountry was there in 2005 for the CBA jamborree. Just wondering if things have changed much. Was hoping to hunt from camp. Maybe up in the wilderness area. Thanks for any ideas or info. Mike

Hunted it a few years back (06) and saw a ton of cows, not many bulls. It did have lots of hunters but they are easy to get away from.
