I owned a PSR, and it IS different than a true longbow as far as grip. It is tillered and made to shoot with at relatively high wrist, per the previous owners of BW bows. Kind of an "in the throat" grip if you will. If you "heel" the grip like a true longbow grip, it will not shoot well for most. I liked mine, but prefer the full grip of a longbow and now shoot mostly those. BTW: JD's whisperstik recurve is about half the price of a psr, and is just as fast as the PSR. Not mocking the PSR! Just a thought though. I also found the whisperstik to be quieter. I miss the beaver grip though.
