feel the furry! need help
« on: July 11, 2008, 09:56:00 PM »
So I’m finishing up a set of arrows, I just put the last dip of spar urethane on so I could let then sit over night and fletch them up tomorrow night. I have them hanging in my basement (low humidity, good ventilation) from clothes pins. I went down a few minutes ago to find two of the freshly dipped shafts lying on the floor. The clothes pin must of not had a good grip on them, but now I have two sticky shafts that are covered in all the crap thats on my floor (dog hair and such). So what can I do to clean them up? Just wait until there are dry and then hit them with steel wool? They are my best looking set so far and I hate to have two of them are look like a garbage can.

Let um dry and steel wool sorry dude been there.you may as well dipp them all again to get a uniform weight from the dozen.3 dipps in spar leaves a nice and smooth finish.

You might have to wipe the dirty ones down with a rag and thinner if they are still tacky and re-dip them. If they are dry, sanding or light scraping might work.       Pat
