Kenai Connection!!!!

Here is my first longbow made for me by Ethan of Okeena Longbows in Newbern, TN. He made the matching hunting knife to go with it as well. Ethan and I met last fall when he was in Alaska for a blacktail deer hunt. We ended up going fishing together for a day down on the Kenai River in Soldotna for silver salmon and had a blast. He named the bow "Kenai Connection" to remember that day. At 53# draw weight I hope to hunt black bear with it this spring down around Seward. It is really a beautiful bow with osage orange and coco-bolo making up the handle and Northern Catalpa in the limbs. It shoots very smooth! The knife will be used to dress out whatever game I harvest with this bow for sure! Thanks again Ethan, you are a gentleman and a true craftsman, my hat is off to you! (He is on the left in our fishing pic)

I live in Dyer co. That's north west, in fact the western county line is the Mississippi, then Missouri. Where exactly is Springfield? And when you get here we have a brand new state trad assosiation. T.T.A.S. It looks to be off to a great start with some great folks. Looke me up when you get back.
