Vario Clipper questions
« on: July 14, 2008, 02:42:00 PM »
I have a few hundred 5.5" right wing TrueFlight shield cut feathers at home and I'd like to cut them down using a Vario Clipper with the GK Para low profile shape (4", 0.4" height). Is it possible to cut consistent feathers from my 5.5" ones or do I have to buy full length feathers?

Any help would be appreciated.

I've cut some old Maxi fletch 5 1/2" feathers with my Vario. It worked very nicely.

I routinely cut down "Magnum"(5.75") Parabolics to 4", 5" and 6" 'Nanners with mine.  Just trimmed a bunch of 5" today.

Yes. You will be able to cut your feathers down.
