Justin, it won't hurt to read it if it isn't the only thing you read and you don't treat it as gospel.
I for one do not find tight groups at 30 yards to be all that exceptional or unexpected, especially from a young man like yourself.
I think it's a sad example of how the standard of accuracy has declined in recent years since field archery has been replaced by 3D and "get close" hunting standards.
There's nothing wrong with getting close when hunting, the closer the better, but at the same time there is no reason why you can't extend those tight groups out to distances beyond typical whitetail yardage and it's very much within the range of your abilities.
Should you choose to become more than a run of the mill archer, it's important to extend your goals beyond the mediocrity that is the norm these days. I'm not trying to incite any animosity within the bow hunting community, just stating a fact as I see it. Most, within the hunting community, are quite content to limit there shots and practice to under 20 yards as it meets their requirements quite nicely, as is evidenced by the responses you've already received to your accomplishments, but if you sense that you're capable of more, why not pursue it?
