Walk in a Manitoba WMA
« on: August 01, 2008, 09:03:00 PM »
Took the bow for a walk since it was a hot sunny afternoon, and shot a few stumps. Had a doe come to the pond while I was taking a break sitting on a log. Didn't see her till I heard her snort when she spotted me as she came over the pond bank. SE wind, about 1:30 in the afternoon, hmmmmm  :)  Lots of Saskatoon's, Choke Cherries and Hazelnuts, saw and heard many birds but no rabbits. Had a great day and drove home with a big smile  :)

Nice pics...Hey downsouth does Manitoba allow nonresidents to hunt without a guide? I am going to Ontario this fall and we will be near the Manitoba border...just curious, thought if I got lucky early,LOL, I would skip over to Manitoba or maybe Minnesota?!

Mosquitoes are doing great here, lol  :)  We had a dry spring, so there were none for a while, followed by a month of rain which produced waaaaaay too many... and now we're back down to a normal level which is tolerable.

They must have all came south, this is THE worst year for skeeters around here!
