What is BOAM wood?
« on: August 02, 2008, 07:29:00 AM »
In these old hunting bow plans posted by onemississip a couple days ago it mentions using YEW, OSAGE, LEMONWOOD and BOAM. Never heard of BOAM! Any one have info on this?

It is a mystery that has haunted the internet sites for a number of years.:)There have been a number of threads on the other site looking the same info but the last I recall nothing was ever answered but guess work.

Yeah, I started most of those other threads. I'm still disgusted that I can't find out what Sam Brown was talking about. Best guess in the last go-round was persimmon.

Don't you just hate unsolved mysteries?
