Pictures of Bingham's take down longbows?
« on: August 02, 2008, 04:22:00 PM »
I've searched the archives and have viewed some remarkable take down longbows that people have built from the Bingham plans.  Many of these (read: all of these) bows have had their risers modified.  Does anyone have pictures of a Bingham take down longbow that was crafted exacly as the plans called for?

I would like to attempt one and eventually modify the riser to suit my taste, but doing so on the first glass-laminated bow seems foolish.

Any pictures?  Any advise?

One of the perks of T/D's is you can experiment with riser design without making another bow.For the cost of the wood and a pair of inserts you can try any design you can think of and still have a bow. Not an option with a one piece.

This riser is 2" shorter  and the lines are different than Binghams but still uses the same mounting hardware.
