Samuel is right, that's an HF1200, although I think he's a bit off on the dates. The 1200 was the first A frame Wilsom Bros. made and they only made the 1200 1 or 2 years. They added a support to both upper and lower section of risers, got rid of the rather crude limbs bolts in favor of the brass knurled knobs in late '72 or '73 and called it the HF1225. The metal handle A frames (along with a couple other solid metal frame Widow models) were made through Bill Richards ownership of Black Widow and discontinued after Ken Beck bought the company.
Have no idea what the true value would be, $300 is close to 3 times what the bow cost new in '71. Kinda' heavy and handle gets cold in winter but great shooting bows. I wouldn't take $300 for mine either.
