Nocking Point

I have been hitting the target consistantly high at about 15 yards so I move my nocking point up to try to correct it. My nocking point is now almost 1 1/2 inch high, It looks really funny but I can now hit where I am looking.  This is a bow that I made myself (First one) and it could be tillered wrong. Anyone else have a nock point this high?

You should be concerned with arrow flight with nock point placement, not where it hits on the target. If the arrow nock is porpoising up and down, when it comes out of the bow it needs adjusting. If not its correct. Could it be you are aiming too high?

I don't know if it applies in your situation, but you can effectively de-tune a bow by moving the nocking point up, allowing underspined arrows to shoot well, at least visually. Accuracy suffers. Is it possible your arrows are underspined? Normally if your nocking point is off you'll see it in the porpoising of the fletched arrow, if it's spined correctly. Shooting a bare shaft is a very good way to check nocking point.
