Striker Bows-Customer Service
« on: August 05, 2008, 08:49:00 PM »
I just have to comment on and share the utterly FANTASTIC customer service Rick Ellis at Striker Bows offers. His great customer service is something that is rare in the 21st century.

I had a Striker bow listed on the classified's for a day or so and had some PM questions about the woods. So, not recalling exactly what I had, since it's a flat camo grey "hunting" bow, I called Rick at Striker.

Well, Rick not only informed me of the exact bow I had, action boo add on's and all, but he then offered a very reasonable trade in value for the bow and offered to build a brand new bow to my new desired specs. Instead of 56" 43@28", he's going to make me a 60" 50@28", with a more stout grip. With the same cool grey camo.

I owned a sporting goods store for the better part of 15 years. I understand and appreciate the value of first class customer service.
So trust me when I say that Rick and Striker offers customer service that cannot be topped.

Not to mention that, his bows completely zip an arrow. They are high performance bows. If not for my less than perfect shooting form, and the ever eternal sore ring finger, I'd have never thought of parting with my present bow.

But the consensus from those shooters I trust, including Rick, is that a short bow at low poundage will illuminate form flaws more than a longer bow at higher weight. I now understand what they mean.
Thus my new 60" 50lb Striker Stinger. LOL!

Anyhow, I just had to alert everyone to a great thing when I see it. Rick and Striker makes a super bow backed up by even more super customer service.

Ricks bows are great and he is a stand up guy!!  Glad to hear you had a good run in with him.

I'm not surprised at all. I've gotten to know Rick at shoots and Expo's and he always has a few minutes to chat. I enjoyed shooting Hope last year at ETAR and yes, he builds a fast smooth bow.

I'll second what Mojostick said.  I have had several telephone conversations with Rick and he always took the time to help me out.  I bought one of his Extremes second hand.  54" 46#@28.  This is my only bow (for now) as I haven't shot a trad bow since around 1970.  It sure does show how bad my release is but because of guys that share on here, it is improving all the time.

Rick went over the set up and made several recommendations.  Great service and a guy that I hope to shake his hand some day.  Here are the latest results:

I also got some great help with my arrow set up from Shawn Leonard.  This is a great place!

I bought a Striker Slapstik bow several years ago and love it. Rick makes great bows and provides outstanding customer service.
