Hello everyone,
I have only been trad hunting for 2 years now and was just wondering if there were any other trad hunters in my neck of the woods. I have not came across anyone in my home town.

I'm in Thomaston. It is in Marengo county. Look up the ASTB site, go to the shoot in September, you will meet many people from south Alabama and eastern Mississippi. I know several from Clarke county, but you will have to come to the shoot to meet them.

Wetumpka is LCA(lower central Alabama), about 10 miles north of Montgomery. There are several of us in this area.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

Gobbler,
You need to head on over to
www.astb.net.
We are having a shoot in September at the Briarfeild Iron works park. This will the the first time we have held a shoot here. These fine folks have a swimming pool and RV hookups . Bring the family and make a day of it.
I live in Alabaster and love hunting with the stick and string.

Thanks Abram,
I checked it out and unfortunately I have to work. I am a shift worker and generally miss out on a lot of good events. I am going to keep an eye on the schedule and maybe one of the shoots will fall on my off day.
Thanks,
Derek

Actually, I live on County Road 53, the Uniontown Road, about 6 miles south of Uniontown.
Try to come to Moundville in Oct. for the Festival. Sterling and Krista should be there. They live outside Coffeeville. He will be the guy demonstrating how to make a bow. They will both be giving demonstations of bow shooting.

No it is Grand's Plantation, the Pilot family. It is a 3000 acre enclosure on Hwy 102 I believe. It connects Hwy 21 with Hwy 57. They also have 1300 on Hwy 1 across from Sugarhill.

I got mixed up. I did some beaver trapping there about 6-8 years ago. I was on the Byrd place at the same time. That is in Jefferson.

I don't live there anymore but I grew up in Thomasville and get down there a few times a year to hunt on my parent's place or my brother's club near Pine Hill. My brother and all his buds are dedicated Mathews wheel-bow guys but they let me hang out with them.
