I agree with Jeremy. You are not far off from 50#@26" where you are now. If you use a scraper, take about 10 full length scrapes off of each limb, exercise it well(pull it 20 to 30 times gradually working it out to 26")and check the weight. If 10 scrapes is reducing it quickly take only 5 scrapes off next time before exercising and weigh it.
If the tiller is good on the bow now, you may only need to scrape down the center of each limb to reduce the weight. Take your time, concentrate on the wood removal and check the weight often. By exercising between scraping you will see the positive effects of the wood removal. You can always remove more wood if needed but it is very difficult to put it back on. Pat
