Bear Question
« on: February 23, 2007, 08:43:00 PM »
I have traded for two Bears a KMag and a Kodiak Hunter. I know that the Bears starting with the K serial numbers were made in the 70's. Is there a way to pin down the exact year? Also the Hunter is two toned if that helps. Can't post pics. Sorry.

It can be narrowed down by the stripe color and a few other details, but I don't know them well enough to help.

A blue stripe is a 1976 bow, thats about the only color/year that I know. (sorry)
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Two tone-wood risered Kodiak Hunters were made prior to 1973.   I have a '75 Super Kodiak that has a blue stripe in it.   The 1976 models may have had blue stripes also, however I believe it was that year(1976) that Bear also changed the overlays on the grip from white, to the colored futurewood.
