Heavy Carbon Shafts
« on: August 17, 2008, 08:38:00 AM »
I am currently shooting GT 35/55's with weight tubes to get an arrow that is the weight that I want to shoot.  Although I have had no problems with the tubes, they are one more thing to be concerned about.  Other than Grizzly Sticks, are there any other heavy carbons that might allow me to eliminate the weight tube?  My arrows are full length and I am shooting the 220 grain Phantom.  The 5gpi tube brings the arrow to about 625 grains.

As I have said before Carbon Express are my go to arrow with a 100gr brass insert and a Broadhead weighing in the 200 to 225gr range make for a very good set up try and tune them at least 30 " long and you will have a very heavy set up with extreme F.O.C    :bigsmyl:        :archer:

Thanks for all of the advice.  I guess I should have said that my bow is 51# @ 28" and I am drawing right at 28, maybe a little more.
