made my first knife

started this a few weeks ago.  it is a gift for my stepfathers birthday.  what do you guys think?  i didnt do as well as i would have liked to in some respects but i think he will like it and will be a very functional knife.  also, i'd like to thank mr vic and dorris for sending me some antler for this project even though i didnt use all of what they sent...someday though.  already have my next blade and material on order from dark timber, this is real fun!

Looks good, I was just looking into making my first knife as well. I am just not sure what style of blade I am going to make.

I made these over the past week or so.

 
I did not make the blades. I got them from an excellent knapper down in Missouri. I'm going to try my hand at making a couple of steel blade knives when the materials I ordered arrive.
