Howard Hill take down
« on: August 29, 2008, 05:11:00 PM »
I have a take down Wesley Special and have a heck of a time when I want to take it apart. I used the toilet bowl ring wax like was recomended.
Is their a better lube to use on the sleve? I thought about useing Hornady dry resizeing lube for Reloading rifle ammo.
Thanks in advance

I had a fox takedown longbow with a sleeve once that didn't want to come apart...One time, I put a bag of ice on the handle for a while and finally got it to come apart...After I started  mixing some vaseline in with the toilet bowl ring wax and put a thin layer on the sleeve it camer apart pretty good.....The vaseline thinned the wax a little and made it slicker...
LONG LIVE THE LONGBOW!
