Leaving your bow strung

I am new to the world of tradbows and have a question do you leave your bow strung or unstrung? I have heard from a few trad shooters that they havent unstrung their bows for 30 yrs and have not lost more than a couple pounds of draw weight. Except when they change the string of course.

Modern glass bows generally fair well when left strung assuming that they are hung properly with even pressure on the limbs and stored in a climate controlled environment.

Nothing wrong with leaving them strung. I have my recurves strung all the time. Course I don't have any kids at home so I don't have to worry about someone picking one up and dry firing it. :0

Although I know that Gregg and SL are without a doubt correct in their advise, I cannot stand to leave my bows strung.My longbow is always unstrung after shooting.My recurve is also. I know that more bows are damaged during the stringing process than by leaving them strung but I can't help my self.I ALWAYS use a stringer and do so with a great deal of care.I have yet to damage a bow.This is an old habit dating back to the 60s that I can't brake.Listen to the other guys. It is my phobia.

White Oak, Not only your Phobia, I always unstring my bows, takes a few seconds with a Sel-Way stringer ...
