APEX PREDATOR / Long Overdue Photos
« on: September 05, 2008, 08:15:00 PM »
Just wanted to post some pics of my newest addition and to compliment Marty on his fine craftsmanship.
Haven't had the time to work with it as much as I'd like to, but sure am elated with the results.

I've been busy getting the girls bows ready for them and working on arrows for all the grandkids. It's really cut down on my shooting time. Decided this week to take breaks during the process to shoot a bit more.
Marty does some fine work, and I love the feel of the bow.
But if I don't get the grandaughters bows finished then I'll be in the real doghouse and this dog'l have to hunt.
David, I told Melanie on the phone tonight about the bows for McKinzie and McKenna. Forgot to mention I had one for her also.
Kevin, just the right weight for an old guys like you and me.

Should be a pretty fair amount of kids with bows next few weeks.

Being the 6 Grandsons were taken care of at Christmas, I only needed 5 more for the grandaughters. And then 3 more for the older girls, 2 Moms and daughterin-law.
Just happened to have been fortunate enough to get by pretty reasonably becaause of the help of the good people on this site.
As I stated when I first found and joined Trad Gang: I've never met a finer group of people, gathered under one roof, so dedicated, to such a noble cause.
And that was in reference to the participation by so many people, to the St. Judes Auction that was going on at the time.
My hat comes off to all the great members of this fine group.
The longer one hangs around here, the more they realize all the good that's out and about.

I appreciate all the kind words folks!  I truly enjoy building these things.  Kinda like Lays potato chips.

I hit the target for some time this afternnon in order to try some broadheads. I'm working up some Superceder but don't think I'll be ready for opening day which is a week from Wednesday.
So I used arrows already made up for one of my other bows. 5575's cut to 29 1/2 with 100 gr brass inserts and Tusker 190 2 blades.
I swear the broadheads flew more accurate than the field points.
Marty, the bow fits and handles like a dream.

Great looking bow. I got a feeling that Marty is gonna be a busy man soon!

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.
