It's funny about broadheads, they are just like everything else we shoot, opinions vary from archer to archer.  Both Dan Bonner and I had horrible experiences with WW broadheads on the same hunt.  We both gave them away when we got back home.  I know of excellent hunters though who swear by them.  Seems like alot of it is confidence in whatever you shoot.  I use Stos and have since I took the buff with one.  I have though used Magnus and had excellent success with them.  Never bent one like in the picture but I would guess it could happen with most heads if they hit something at the wrong angle.

My son just got a batch of the newer ones with the cool new tips.  I'm eager to see them after passing through a deer (heh - for many reasons) but the new tips look *much* better than the old ones.

I think that was a good call on your part.

my magnus heads bent also but they were on complete pass thrus so I never gave it another thought. I don't care for the small game heads with the razor inserts. To me they seem to be worthless. Good luck

here's a pic of my mates magnus II. this went through both shoulder blades of a good boar at 30m from a wheel bow set at 66#. as you can see it's worse than mine. even started to bend the ferrule.
