Mckenzie Tuff Stop 300 Target
« on: September 22, 2008, 08:57:00 PM »
I picked one of these up recently and I'm having a heck of a time with it.  I've been shooting a boardbow I just finished up, I think it draws around 45-50 lbs.  I am getting very inconsistent penetration and an occasional bounce off.  I know my arrow set-up isn't ideal, but I wanted to shoot it some so I knew it wouldn't blow up before I spent a bunch of money on arrows.

Does anyone else have problems with these or similar targets. Or is it just my gear.

Matt

I haven't used this target. A good, cheap target you could use to figure out your final set up would be a nylon or burlap bag filled with used shrink wrap from a building site or large home repair store.
