I have one in a Holm-Made bow built by Chad Holm who is one of the sponsors. It works great and locks up the bow like a one piece. Other bowyers like Gregg Coffey (Javaman Archery -- builder of Shrew bows) and Dryad Archery also install the Bow Bolt on their own bows. I am not sure who would be willing to retrofit some other builder's bow with one if that is what you are asking.

I believe the bowbolt system is installed in the riser  block before it is cutout into a riser, while you have a square block to work with. And the riser needs to be strong enough and large enough to handle it.I've heard that the bowyers that use it prefer to use it in lighter bows,55# and under.I doubt you find anyone to install it on your bow.If I had a $700 longbow I wouldn't install any T/D system on it,I would just get a T/D longbow.

Call Chad Holm and he will steer you the right way. Here is his website:  www.holmmadetraditionalbows.com.  He makes a heck of a nice bow at a very reasonable price. I just posted some comments about the St. Jude's bow he built for me. Here is that thread:  http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=064947

String Cutter,

Good advice in the posts above.  I've installed them as a retrofit in several bows with good results but it is nearly impossible to guarantee that the bow won't break after the install because only the original bowyer knows the quality of the glue up and of the material in the riser.  If your bow were "expendable" (I dont't think they exist) it might be worth a try, but $700 is a lot of money and you might end up with nothing at all.
JRY309's advice is probably the best advice, but I will give it a try if YOU are willing to take the chance.  I am confident that the Bow Bolt won't fail and will fully guarantee it, but I just can't guarantee that the bow won't break.

Give me a call or send me an e-mail if you want to discuss the options.  The number and e-mail can be found at  WWW.Warrenarchery.com

By the way, Chad, Gregg, and Mike are all great bowyers and do a supurb job installing the Bow Bolt and I'm sure any one of them would do a great job on a new take down for you.  There are others too that do a great job with them.  My new shop is finally up and running so I'd be happy to build one for you also.
