Rivers Edge Recurve Bear T/D limbs?

Has anyone shot the replacement limbs for the T/D Bear recurve that are being made by Rivers Edge Recurves?

I have a Magnesium handle T/D on the way and am looking at options.  I once owned a RER and I like the static limbs.

I have a set and love 'em!

More reflex coming off the riser than the Bear limbs and they're definitely faster.  Much narrower than the Bear limbs (as wide as a longbow) and pretty thin compared to similar weight Bear limbs (more reflex = less thickness/width to make the same weight).  The thinner limbs 'wobble' more after the shot than similar weight Bear limbs ( about as much as a Bear limb ~10# lighter) but you can either increase your arrow weight and keep the speed the same as the Bear limb or put mushrooms or something on the limbs.  Not loud b/c of it and you don't feel the wobble in the hand, but it can be seen after the shot.

I plan on selling my other set of Bears and getting another RER set.

Have had a set since Feb. Shoot nice but are somewhat louder, smoother at my 31" draw and are noticeably faster than the bears. Overall they are a good investment.

SBO- I shot a set of these last year at the TN. Classic and they are nice. I shoot a B riser and #1 limbs and if RER made the #1 length I'd own a set now.                              Grant

I have two sets of RER #2 Bear limbs - 46# and 49#.  Both are black glass over bamboo cores.  They are excellent limbs - they make a great bow perform substantially better than original.  I run limbsavers on the belly side at the fadeouts and cat whiskers on my strings and they are the quietest recurves that I own.  Both sets of RER limbs are installed on magnesium B handles, but I also recently acquired a nice wood B riser that I plan to install RER limbs on.  I found that I had to get the brace height cranked right up to the point where the limbs don't act wobbly - then they quiet right down and become real performers.  I highly recommend them.

I would like to see performance data that shows how much better they are than the originals. Pound for pound, fairly examined, what is the difference.  None of this visibly faster...or perform substantially better.  I'm a hard sell and want to see some crono numbers by an unbiased test 8^).

I'd like to see power curve comparisons.   i'm messing with Bear TD's now.... have wood A and B, mag B and alum C, four sets of limbs.   Would be interested in another set of #1 limbs if not too heavy.. around 40 to 45 on an A.

For me, the smoothness of the old limbs is a big plus... they don't build up early and so are an easy pull for me.    Many modern bows seem to build the power early.  Guess that's how they get their speed, and that would be a worry for me on the limbs.  I think I recall that the new ones don't come in less than 45#, either.

They only come in #2s so far Dick. The bamboo core ones are pretty smooth.

I can do some f/d curves for the two limbs... if I can convince a buddy to bring his chrono this weekend I may even be able to get some numbers.

The RER limbs have "noticably" higher early draw weight - that's for you GDS LOL!

My #1 Bear limbs are 50# and my #2 RER limbs are 51#

Jeremy thanks.  However, I must note that "noticeably" reatains the "e" and does not drop it in favor of the "a"...8^).    I suspect the preload is more prevalent  in a semi-static recurve.
