Fletching problem

It seems like every time I fletch arrows (2016's with 5" feathers)on my JoJan multi fletcher, RH clamp, that the base of the feathers are slightly rolled up on the side opposite of where the feather comes up off the base. For instance a RW feather will have a slight gap on the left side between the base of the feather and the arrow shaft. When I "dry check" the placement of the feathers they look good, but after they are glued on they seem to roll just a bit. I have tried like crazy to adjust the jig but I always have this problem, as did a friend of mine using the same jig. Is this normal on a 2016 shaft or is it just us? I have even used LW feathers with the same results.

I would get that once in a while when I didn't leave the clamp on long enough for the glue to get good and dry! I was using a different jig though.

I don't know the way a Jo-Jan works, but I put some wax on the faces of the clamps of my Bitz, and set the feather a slight bit out from the clamp base.  That makes sure the lip is pressed to the shaft very firmly.
