Newbie arrows
« on: September 27, 2008, 10:52:00 PM »
Hey guys, newbie here (and glad to be asking your advice).

I am shooting a bear kodiak 60" 50#@28 drawing to 31". I have just been shooting the carbons I use for my wheel bow because I am shooting at around 5-10yrds.

I am looking to pick up some arrows. I really like carbon, but I could go aluminum too. What would be an appropriate arrow and decent priced (I know I can consult a chart, but in reading posts it seems the charts are only educated guesses.)?

Thanks,
Jethro

Jethro,
Sorry can't help with the carbons or alum. as I only shoot woodies but I also have a 31" draw and 70/75 works out of my r/d longbows.

I would guess a 2018 or 2020 aluminum, and fiddle with head weight. I dunno from carbons.

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
