I finally got my dad's bow.  It is a Hoyt Expert 64" and 40#.  I am assuming that is at 28".  The numbers 2 x 1205 are on the riser as well.  Does this mean anything to anyone.  Also, does anyone have an idea of this bow's vintage?

I shot it tonight.  It felt great.  I would probably still be shooting if it weren't for the blood blister that developed.  OUCH!

Jeremy... the Hoyt Expert is probably a mid sixties vintage. Don't know about the serial number.
Yes, the weight is 40# @28".

Thanks Charlie.  I looked the bow over and could not see any evidence of twist, or any other damage.  I will post a picture if I figure out how to do that.

I have a 1970 Hoyt Archery catalog:

Hoyt Xpert- Avg. brace height 71/2" to 8 1/2".

to help date the bow; the 1970 Xpert has a Hoyt thumb rest in the handle and the arrow shelf is beveled...

You just gotta love a Hoyt bow.
