Bear Longbow
« on: March 01, 2007, 12:40:00 AM »
Hi All, I got my hands on an old bear longbow. It is yellow looking wood with glass on the back and belly. It says 1953. It has a lot of reflex. It is marked #41.It is 62 inches from string nock to string nock. It doesn't have a string. I need to make one. How long should it be? What kind of brace height should I be looking at? I thought I would get it shooting again. Thanks in advance for the help. Gary

May be an old Cub. I had one that was happy with a 7" brace.

Interesting site White Feather. The bow looks like the 51 model. I guess I will try 3 inches shorter and see what happens unless someone says something soon.
