I have one that I don't shoot anymore.  It's a smooth shooter.  Good speed.  Pretty quiet. The finish job on the bow is not as good as other bowyers like Widow or Schafer.  The Wapiti is designed as a tool to kill animals, not a piece of art to hang on your wall.  Killed a few deer with mine, but now I have moved on to other bows.

One thing about it, there are no other bows out there designed like the Chastain. All around they are very good bows.  Hey, Rick Duggan killed the Super Slam with one!

Brett

I'll see if I can gather up a pic of mine.

I have one that also shot great and was a superb hunting and target bow but I don't shoot 70 lbs anymore so it sits on the rack.

Sorry I don't have a pic of mine.  Look on the Wapiti website:  worldclassbows.com.  There are plenty of photos of in stock bows there.

Yeah I've seen them They are VERY....BLAND so to speak.  But He's a local bowyer and I know that Rick Duggan did the Super Slam using them.  But I was looking for more opinions..

I've been shooting mine for 21 years. I don't find them bland at all. You'll never find a bow that is smoother to the draw than a Wapiti. I've had a few of the other well known name bows, their gone the Wapiti is still here--1Longbow

I have two of them and from an all around perspective they are excellent bows.

I have a Wapiti Spike two piece LB. It's the Dual-Draw so it's either 52# or 59#, depending on how I string it. The finish on mine is nice and she is a good shooting bow.

Matty,

Go shoot one.  It will shoot well I am sure.  Rick Duggan could have any bow in the world that he wanted and he did use a Wapiti to hunt all his slam animals plus ooooooodles more all over the world...

Then, buy the cheapest, ugliest one Keith has in your weight and get it dipped in camo for $100~ as shown here:

 http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=064304;p=1

Then you will have the best of both worlds.  Form what I know, Keith is kind of a "rocket scientist" and his bows perform as such.  I do agree they are not the nicest looking peices out there.

FWIW, you hardly EVER see a Wapiti in the classifieds.
