Brace height difference ????????
« on: October 10, 2008, 03:11:00 PM »
what makes brace height differ so much in different bow manufactures????
my older monarch longbow had a brace height of 6 1/4", and that worked great.
my internature viper, needs to have a b height of at least 8" to perform even half decent.
I thought i could try to lower the height and get away withit.....not this bow....why?????
JESUS LOVES ME THIS I KNOW!!!!

To God be the glory, great things He has done!!!!!

Probably the biggest difference in recommended brace height from one make of bow to another is the shape of the riser. Since it is measured from the throat to the string a reflexed/deflexed handle will need more or less brace ht. than a straight handle.

Sideplate thickness from center will make a difference, as will a stiffer/weaker spined arrow within the bell curve.
