I haven't noticed any difference in effectiveness.

One of the great things in the South, rivals
conditioned air.
I have had refills kits several years before using
and the pads seem to work just fine.
Be careful not to drop or hit the unit when the filament is red hot, or you may have to get a new unit. (Yep, have done that).

Both of mine still work fine and I'm glad they do.

Now, just don't ask why I have two...

I am using just the picture of one - and NO mosquitos !!! Of course it was 21 degrees last night; and there is snow on the ground....

I do not get how repellant on a pad is not detected by game: when the mosquitos smell it? How does that work?

Brian, I can smell it myself but it sure doesn't seem to spook deer and it does seem to spook skeeters. LOL

Picked one up at Cabellas yesterday for $21.99 (just under a buck less than Walmart)

Have not used it yet though.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Mine works great. Has anyone ever had any odor come from theirs?
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

I got a new unit...that was the problem.  The last one stopped getting hot enough to effectively heat up the pad.  I guess they wear out in time.  Having it last 3 seasons makes it one of the best investments ever.  I have a hunting buddy who has used his much longer and it is still going strong.    :clapper:
