aging bear recurves

I would like to know how to tell the age of a bear kodiak. I've heard you can tell by the serial # ?. thanks - Rod
Everything has a place and purpose, and when it gets out of place, it's loosing it's purpose. (my Grandpa )

only for a few years in the 60's.
I've searched on the web before and found pages with descriptions of medallions, glass color, other clues that can get you close.
Or just cop out like me and put a pic in the collector section and find out that way.

In addition to the two responses you already got - you can try a web search using these words "dating bear bows".
