Groves Spitfire Magnum Question
« on: October 17, 2008, 10:43:00 PM »
Hey guys, anyone have a Groves spitfire magnum that can tell me a recommended brace height? I am having trouble getting one figured out...

Not sure what year but its 44@28 and 60".

I found an older article online that had a review of the magnum 2 and said it had a 7" brce height but nothing more.

Any help?

Jethro

Keep mine at 7"...Elrod measured from the front of the riser...I measure from the throat. No more than 7 1/4".
"Neal...is this heaven?" "No Piute but we are dam close". Top of the Mtn in Medicine Bow Nat Forest.

Like Joe, I liked mine about 7.25" from the throat of the riser.

Thanks guys, I set it at 7 1/4" and that seems to be the best. I wasn't sure what the bh ranges were for this bow and when I got it it was much higher than what I set it at, around 8 1/2".

Can having too much brace height cause damage?
