I am seeing my 8 year old nephew this coming week, and i have an early christmas present for him. the bow is from a hickory board, 48" long, drawing 22#@20". In addition to a little hunting when i'm back home, the rest of the time i'm sure will be full of teaching safety and form.

He'll love it!
But if he's anything like I was as a young kid you better just give him 6 arrows to start. It MIGHT make the dozen last a little longer.
