Bow Grip Question
« on: March 02, 2007, 08:13:00 PM »
How do you keep a bow grip from causing a different colored area on the riser?

Has anyone experienced it when they have taken a bow grip off and the area under the grip was discolored?   Whether it be from a wet grip or sunlight discoloration.

I don't think you can stop it if the grip is permanently sewn on as many of the woods are light sensitive & either darken or lighten with exposure to light & weather, even under a finish.. The only option IMO, would be a Shur Grip & roll it off when you're done shooting the bow.
